May 20, · Hello Teams Community, With the return to work of all staff in our offices we have installed lots of new audiovisual equipment. All rooms have a mini p.c. behind each screen. Our problem is that each user has to log onto the PC and load their windows profile. Each time Teams need to be installed. It is looking for a specific registry key to “detect” if it is on a VM or not. If you manually create the key HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Citrix\PortICA then the Teams install will think it is on a VM and will install using the ALLUSER command line option and will be visible in the \Program Files folder. We’ve been doing this on our physical machines as well.

Hi Winston, thanks for getting back to me, so essentially the install works however im quite confused as we are running WVD multi session environment not a citrix environment.
There doesn’t appear to be a registry key for a pure WVD install. I found the below registry keys but no Windows Registry key. Since your able to install teams and are unblocked, I’ll keep this issue as closed. Skip to content. Star 7. Code Issues Pull requests Security Insights.
